Where do you start with research?
I would hope we all take our time and do some research before deciding which company we will be letting into our homes to fulfil our ideal plans to make it a homely and relaxing environment. From a personal perspective I would weigh up price, what others have said and how the final outcome has turned out before I begin to make my shortlist of businesses I would like to deal with.
More than just the bottom line
So, with all this in mind, I would like to explain the importance of these values to our business. First and foremost we have found price to be the main thing which draws attention and makes us want to look a little further. I now, after being with the company for a good few years have realised this is not the most important. We have always put quality first above cutting costs and corners, and after providing estimates which get turned down for the ‘cheaper option’ we have often found these clients to return later when an issue arises with their electrics installed by ‘Mr Rush-it-through-as-cheap-as-possible.com’. Personally I now find price to be the middle thing to sway me, as I know cheaper does not often mean good.
Customer opinion is critical
I would say that 80% of our customers have contacted us via a friend or relative who have passed our number on and this is what leads to the most important value of our company, QUALITY. We beam with pride that we supply high quality accessories which are fitted to the highest standard of workmanship. We can work to a budget; our estimates are mostly broken down by item so you can see where your money is going. Everything is discussed so that you know what is to be expected and it also gives you a chance to decide which things may be cut back on if needed, or even simply that you can afford to spend a little more elsewhere. Our team will help with every aspect of the design, layout and installation which although is not seen on your final bill, is all part of the service. – This is my most important value of a decent company, and I am proud to say Slade Coleman Electrical confirms to this!
Does Google really have all the answers?
If I used ‘Google’ for example, to start to look for a company which can provide the service I require, how do I choose which ones to contact?
This is where the customer plays a huge (and very much appreciated) part in our future business. REVIEWS - This is what will show potential clients what the world thinks of us. I am massively grateful for each and every review we receive as I know the customer has taken time and effort (which after having to pay out for your new consumer unit to be fitted, is not the top of your list), to physically show us, and those Google searchers that we have done a good job and are a worthy company to provide a service to your homes. These are the ‘word of mouth’ that can reach everyone and anyone.
